The Classification Branch has developed products to assist retailers in preparation of R18+ for computer games on 1 January 2013.
The R 18+ computer games package consists of:
- An A4 revised classification poster (known as the approved notice) that explains all the classifications and is required to be displayed in stores where films or games are sold or hired
- An A4 in-store signage explaining that R18+ for computer games commences on 1 January 2013
- A question and answer sheet prepared to assist staff in understanding the restrictions on selling or hiring R 18+ computer games, and A table listing the offences in each state and territory in relation to the sale or hire of R 18+ computer games.
